Hunter Daily – Claw Marks

Today pop singer-songwriter Hunter Daily shares her stunning new single ‘Claw Marks’, the title track of her upcoming new EP, also announced today and due for release on the 12th of September.
Honest and delicately cathartic, ‘Claw Marks’ captures the gut-wrenching pain of heartache.
With divine vocals and poignant lyricism, Hunter lays everything bare as she wrestles with the haunting pull of attachment—leaving marks in her wake as she’s forced to let go. With its shimmering pop sensibilities alongside organic folk-inspired instrumentation, the track lives in the sonic world of Gracie Abrams and Taylor Swift’s ‘Fearless’ era.
Sharing more, Hunter explained: “Claw Marks came from the pain of watching someone I loved walk away like it was easy—while I was still holding on for dear life. After the end of my 4.5-year relationship, letting go wasn’t clean—it was messy, desperate, and it left marks. This song came from that place of holding on too long and it’s for anyone who’s experienced being broken up with and just needs something to crash out to.”
The release of Claw Marks follows Hunter’s recent single ‘Dead End’ which arrived at the end of last month.
The track captures the pain of temptation and the emotional confusion that follows a breakup when lines are blurred.
Born and based in Los Angeles, Hunter Daily has been making waves as a promising newcomer to watch. With her effortlessly sweet, soulful vocals and knack for writing relatable and accomplished ear worms, she’s generated much acclaim already including support from Galore Magazine, Wonderland and Atwood Magazine who described her sound as being ‘the perfect company for all your dreamy, ruminative Sunday walks.’ We couldn’t agree more.
Hunter released her debut EP Die In LA back in 2023, proving her to be an unflinchingly honest new voice. This project reflects on the pressures and vulnerabilities of growing up as a young woman in Los Angeles, something that resonated with a blossoming and loyal fanbase.
Sitting somewhere between Lizzy McAlpine, Holly Humberstone and Gracie Abrams, Hunter has been mastering her songwriting since she was in High School. As she enters this next phase, Hunter displays remarkable progression in her sound and artistry, keep all eyes on her.
