So Good – Orange Juice & Milk

So Good

Following a whirlwind year in 2025, the provocative pop-punk princess So Good is back with her new single “Orange Juice & Milk” – the most sarcastic love song ever written & a song for anyone who’s been told to ‘calm down’, or that they’re ‘too much or too loud’… yep, she’s got you covered!

Bursting at the seams with obnoxious attitude, “Orange Juice & Milk” is dripping with confidence & although it’s subversively hidden at first by a deceivingly simple pop production, the conversational tone of the verses make it feel like she’s talking to you directly.

As for the subject matter, So Good explains “There’s something really visceral about the combination of orange juice & milk, & having now tried several combinations of the two, I can confirm that they taste awful & really don’t go together. My research has shown me that the orange juice curdles the milk & turns it into lumpy cheese, & now I can’t even smell either of the liquids without wanting to be sick! So when the song says, ‘we go together like orange juice & milk’; you can see where I’m coming from”.

The video shows So Good at her most creative as she plays around with the song’s idea; at points dressed something like how her mum would dress her & then, as she escapes the control of her ‘video boyfriend’, she starts to wear her own expressive & colourful style. “Videos are really important to me & where I get to be really creative” says So Good “I’m really proud with how true to myself & my vision they’ve come out. I see them in my head first & then recreate what I see (& dream) in full on technicolour”.

Keen to emphasise that she doesn’t want to make ‘nice’ music, So Good isn’t interested in the safe, boring saccharine slush that seems to be so prominent these days, but takes inspiration from artists like Shampoo, Letters To Cleo & Blondie, as she likes how they’re all unapologetic, outspoken women who did their own thing. She quotes the internet dialup sound & faulty car batteries as her biggest musical influences & in terms of people & their star quality, it’s bald Britney, Lindsay Lohan before she stopped drinking & Saint Paris Hilton.

Although a solo artist, So Good recognises that she stands on the shoulders of a collective of amazing producers, poets, directors, illustrators & dancers. On the fashion front, designer Eden Sherry works with So Good creating bespoke powerful looks that are both eye catching & obnoxious, as well as beautifully structured & impeccably made.

As for her story; three years ago So Good put out her first single – the shouty punk Christmas song “Give Me My Presents” which went viral on TikTok. Then from a bedroom in East London she made her second single, “If I Had A Dick” which caught on really quickly. It ended up getting reposted by Tommy Lee, Fred Durst, Sir Rod Stewart & Josh Homme which led to touring with Queens of the Stone Age & later Skunk Anansie. Then performances at Glastonbury, Pukkelpop & other festivals followed. Now putting the finishing touches to her debut album with producer/writer team J Fox, Tom Loffman & Marching Ghost Music, So Good will be playing 2000 Trees festival this summer.
