MOMO – Fashion

Today, you have your introduction to the unquestionably talented newcomer MOMO and their Japanese garage-rock banger of a debut song, “Fashion.”

In peculiar circumstances, all involved with this artist know very little about MOMO.  Within this unorthodox press release, below, we can share the label’s (xxx) only interactions with the artist.

MOMO’s debut album had been slipped into the racks of my local record store with only “ MOMO … 07435665305 “ written onto its otherwise blank sleave. Curious, I took the record to the counter, and the record store didn’t recognise the record on their systems, so we took the record home.

It turned out to be fucking amazing. We texted the number & they replied only with “You found me.” To this day, it’s been continued cryptic messages between us and MOMO even since signing the record.”

So what do we actually know? Not much other than it’s one person, living in London via Japan, and we also know their legal name which they asked not to be shared. Besides the music itself, we’re essentially learning things about MOMO at the same speed as the audience.
