“Outta Nowhere”, out 3 July 2026, is the third single of the year from 17-year-old Glasgow alt-pop/indie-rock artist Ellijai, as she builds towards a run of new releases every six weeks and a debut album planned for summer 2027.

Vocal-led, shimmering, and full of lift, “Outta Nowhere” has the feel of a real summer track,  a song about someone coming into your life when you weren’t looking for it, only to realise they were exactly what you needed. Built around Ellijai’s strong, dreamy vocal and a chorus made for those heart-rush, falling-in-love moments, the track sits in the world of Olivia Rodrigo and Wolf Alice while keeping Ellijai’s raw honesty, warmth, and unmistakable voice at its centre.
