TOCCA – Into Midnight

Brooklyn and Princeton-based artist TOCCA returns today with “Into Midnight,” a dreamy, cinematic new single available now across all streaming platforms.
Created by singer-songwriter, producer, designer, and Vogue-featured artist Risa Elledge, TOCCA exists at the intersection of music, fashion, movement, and visual storytelling. A performer at the historic Apollo Theater and the subject of coverage in both Vogue and The New York Times, Elledge has spent years building TOCCA into an immersive creative world where every song, visual, and performance serves a larger artistic vision.
Built around hazy analog textures, immersive production, and emotional atmosphere, “Into Midnight” explores memory, connection, and creative self-discovery through the lens of New York nightlife. Inspired by late-night drives, AM radio nostalgia, and the feeling of leaving the familiar behind, the track captures the romance, possibility, and transformation found after dark.
Created alongside guitarist, composer, and producer Alex Zhu (Future Islands, Bambara) and producer/engineer Chris Meyer (Electric Lady Studios, Water Sound), “Into Midnight” was recorded at Zhutopia Studios in Princeton, New Jersey using live instrumentation, vintage gear, and immersive analog production techniques.
Rooted in reinvention, creative freedom, and the confidence discovered within Brooklyn’s artistic communities, the single serves as an introduction to TOCCA’s larger creative universe. Drawing inspiration from artists including MGMT, Tame Impala, Björk, and Selena, “Into Midnight” blends dream pop, alternative R&B, and cinematic storytelling into a transportive late-night soundtrack.
