Isabel LaRosa – Promising Young Woman

Isabel LaRosa

Today, alternative-pop songstress Isabel LaRosa releases her new EP, Promising Young Woman, via Slumbo Labs/RCA Records.

Promising Young Woman

Promising Young Woman explores the unraveling of perfection, the quiet pressure of self-imposed expectations and the disorienting feeling of losing yourself in the performance of it all. The project lives in an uncanny, dreamlike world where familiar routines turn strange and control becomes increasingly elusive. Domestic rituals feel compulsive, nostalgia blurs into dissociation, and the line between what’s real and what’s performed begins to dissolve.

The project features six brand new tracks including previously released, “Hallucination,” that finds LaRosa facing an almost ghostlike presence that follows her as she tries to move forward.

Opening track “The Things I Would Do To Be Enough For You,” anchors the EP’s emotional core, unpacking the painful lengths people go to in search of validation and love.

Whereas the synth-heavy “Every Life” captures the feeling of finding the same person in every version of existence, while “Hate Myself For Loving You” leans into explosive rock production and emotional self-destruction.

On “Porcelain,” LaRosa explores body image and self-worth with brutal honesty, while “Claw Marks,” is centered around the inability to fully let someone go.

LaRosa who had a breakout year in 2025, which saw the release of her widely acclaimed debut album Raven, her headlining Psychopomp tour, and recently joined Madison Beer on the European leg of the locket tour, with major stops in Vienna, Munich, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, and London, among many others, serving as direct support.
