Abir – The Game

Moroccan-American powerhouse ABIR has released her highly anticipated debut album THE GAME, available now via EMPIRE. Alongside the album, ABIR revealed two of the most personal milestones to date—her marriage and pregnancy — through a surprise album artwork reveal. The switch in artwork marked a bold and intimate moment, merging her artistry with her personal evolution to reflect the ultimate win in her game.
The 12-track project builds on her recent singles “Love Ain’t Blind” and “Nothing New”, as well as her recent EP THE TIP OFF, which gave fans an early glimpse of the album with favorites “Butterflies”, “Made For You”, and “Something Real”.
On THE GAME, ABIR reframes love not as a fairytale but as a mirror of self-reflection. The album explores the idea that love is ultimately a game you play with yourself, demanding honesty, self-awareness, and the courage to confront ego, fear, and cycles that no longer serve you.
On her debut, ABIR shares: “‘The Game’ is a collection of stories I’ve lived and others I’ve watched unfold either through friends, relationships, and honestly even some of my favorite films. The album’s throughline is really about how love tends to mirror a game that’s not just with someone else, but with yourself. It’s ego, fear, and patterns that keep playing out until you learn what needs to change to break them. Each song represents a different quarter and what it takes to stick it out through every phase to hopefully come out winning.”
