Lisa Loeb & The Hollow Trees – A Doodlin’ Song
Today, GRAMMY-winning and platinum-selling artist Lisa Loeb released her new single “A Doodlin’ Song.” The track is the latest to release from her new collaborative album with folk music band The Hollow Trees called That’s What It’s All About, set to release on August 23rd.
One of several examples of the dynamic and varied musical styles captured on the album, “A Doodlin’ Song” also features Loeb performing a tap dance solo, a hobby she recently rediscovered her love for during the pandemic lockdown.
Of the song, Loeb stated, “While recording the song, we realized it needed a solo, but not just any kind of solo…but, a tap solo!”
“A Doodlin’ Song” follows the release of the official video for the lead single “Take It While The Takin’s Good.” The song is one of the brand new originals featured on That’s What It’s All About, inspired by old TV shows like The Little Rascals and The Three Stooges.
