Loud Women Festival Newport – Le Pub, Newport – October 3, 2026
International feminist DIY music collective LOUD WOMEN brings its first full festival in Wales to Le Pub, Newport on Saturday 3 October 2026.
Following hundreds of applications from artists around the world, LOUD WOMEN Fest Newport brings together 11 artists across two stages for an afternoon and evening of punk, indie, alternative and DIY music.
The festival places South Wales artists at the heart of an international bill, bringing Newport and Cardiff acts together with artists travelling from elsewhere in the UK, Germany and the USA.
Newport punk band Hairdye, Cardiff riot grrrl band Lady Garden, bilingual Cardiff artist Local Rainbow and Newport’s The NaNaz represent the thriving South Wales grassroots scene.
They are joined by Jacksonville, Florida indie rock trio 1blackfrend; Berlin-based Australian drummer, songwriter and spoken word artist Eilis Frawley; Minnesota singer-songwriter emmy woods; London alternative pop band Cape Orange; feminist punk trio ScareBears; Leith-based singer-songwriter SheBeat; and LOUD WOMEN house band I, Doris.
The main stage inside Le Pub will run alongside a stripped-back outdoor acoustic stage, with music beginning at 4.30pm and continuing until 10.30pm.
The festival is made possible with support from Tŷ Cerdd – Music Centre Wales.
Founded in London in 2015, LOUD WOMEN has grown from a grassroots club night into an international network supporting women, trans and non-binary musicians through gigs, festivals, radio, journalism and community.
In 2026, LOUD WOMEN has taken its DIY festival model around the UK and internationally, building connections between grassroots scenes and creating opportunities for artists to perform to new audiences.
All LOUD WOMEN Fest events operate on a not-for-profit basis, with the aim of keeping events accessible while ensuring artists are paid.

There’s such a brilliant grassroots music community here. What I love about this lineup is that we’ve got artists from Newport and Cardiff sharing stages with musicians coming from across the UK, Europe and the USA.
That’s what LOUD WOMEN is all about. It’s not just one day of bands. It’s about connecting DIY music communities, creating new friendships and opportunities, and giving brilliant grassroots artists the platform they deserve.”
