The announcement is accompanied by the release of the punchy title track “Last Summer” as a single, along with a video featuring Hayley and Shea Webster performing a stripped-down acoustic version of the song filmed by Matthew Chavez at Boykins’ Peace Tree Studio, directed by Rob Horwitz.

Regarding the title track, which was co-written with Jesse Boykins III, Hayley shares: “This song was so much fun to write. It came from Jesse and I chatting about running into people from our past and how things change so quickly. ‘Last Summer’ is a story of what appeared to be an amicable break up and then I found out that my ex was bad mouthing me. I never said anything to retaliate and let karma do her thing. This song is my karma.”

As for the session video, Law shares: “I didn’t actually plan on doing an acoustic version of this song. Shea and I were filming something else and kept going back to singing ‘Last Summer’ because it’s just so much fun. My director Rob turned and said ‘Lets shoot this one too!’ and we just went for it. The song when I first wrote it wasn’t even in my top 3 of favorites on the album and it’s become my #1.”

“Last Summer” follows previous single “Baby Voice” which also appears on the album, released in early June with an entrancing video directed by Rob Horwitz.

According to Hayley, “Baby Voice” is about “celebrating the seductive power of femininity. The way sweetness, vulnerability, and charm can become their own kind of control. Beneath that is something deeper about its hypnotic ability to disarm, persuade, and hold power while appearing delicate.”

Hayley Law is a Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based independent artist (a true multi-hyphenate singer-songwriter-producer-actor etc!) making music that lives between vulnerability and control. Blending pop, R&B, with traces of pop-rock, and diaristic storytelling, her sound is intimate, nostalgic, and quietly disarming, pulling listeners into moments that feel as impulsive as they are intentional.

Entirely self-directed, Law has built her career on her own terms, amassing over 4 million streams across platforms through purely organic growth. Without chasing trends or traditional industry pathways, she has cultivated a loyal audience drawn to her perspective.
