ilykimchi – I LOVE YOU KIMCHI

Los Angeles artist and producer ilykimchi has released her sophomore album, I LOVE YOU KIMCHI, alongside a music video for “Thank You”.
She assembled a Mount Rushmore of experimental producers for the project—including brightviolet, Groupthink, Geoff Hufford, Ali RQ, and, of course, herself—with the sound reflecting her admiration for Skrillex’s festival-oriented electronic music. Directly connected to the time and energy she has dedicated to the underground dance and club community through her interactive Dollhaus rave parties, she describes the album as hopeful electronic music. The project incorporates confessional-style interludes and thoughtfully crafted narratives, emphasizing danceability while drawing inspiration from 2000s-era recession pop and tapping into the spirit of artists like LMFAO and Bodyrox.

In addition to her buzzy debut performance at Rolling Loud Orlando and Frost Children’s preview of their unreleased collab single at EDC last month, this release follows back-to-back singles “Every Day A Movie”, “Crashout” (feat. binx), and “Poser”. She also recently made waves with a whirlwind year of nonstop underground DJ sets, her run opening for Six Sex and Sophia Stel on their respective headline tours, and a collaboration with Skrillex on his 2025 Grammy-nominated album Fuck U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol but Ur Not!!.
