Up from the shadows and on the verge of a breakout, buzzing Montreal-based electronic duo Brothel in Belize unveil a hard-hitting and hypnotic new single and music video entitled “Lovers by Chance” out now via Atlantic Records.
It heralds the arrival of their 2026 full-length album, Machine Machine, announced today and out June 26, 2026.
The track highlights Brothel in Belize’s uncanny hybridization of genres. It sounds like a transmission beamed straight from the heart of a gothic underground where strands of dark electronic, video game soundtracks, and alternative clot and coagulate into one inimitable expression of unfiltered emotion. Anita’s vocals arrive with the force and surprise of a paroxysm, spilling feelings over jagged analog synths, tight beat-craft, and cinematic orchestration.
The accompanying video brings this energy to life on-screen as the duo deliver an intense performance captured in caustic close-ups and cut together with a frenetic passion evocative of the song’s rhythmic ebb and flow.
