Haley Bond – Since My Body

Haley Bond releases the powerful debut single “Since My Body” after having early work under Haley and the Comet.

“I wrote “Since My Body” from the perspective of the women who tragically died from being denied reproductive care in the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade. I was horrified by the heartbreaking story of Adriana Smith who was treated more like an incubator than a human being. Bodily autonomy, grief, and the societal cost of denying reproductive rights are not just a women’s issue, but a humanitarian crisis. This song is my protest and prayer, where I hope the future for women’s rights will be restored.”

Haley Bond is a singer-songwriter that walks with precision, reverence and edge, the sacred ground that art needs. Unafraid of darkness or complexity, her music fills the gap between the rallying cry songs and the deeply introspective. Haley is a two- time national songwriting finalist with The Great American Song Contest and the USA Songwriting Competition. She has toured internationally with an Abba tribute show and headlined her own show including the Artown festival, Hawkins Amphitheater as well as opening for Big Brother and the Holding Company. “Since My Body” marks her first release under her own name, following her earlier work as Haley and the Comet, reflecting her evolution into a bold, authentic voice in today’s indie landscape.
