Hayley Law – WET WET

Hayley Law is pleased to share the playfully modern take on retro Esther Williams-style synchronized swimming with the new video for her song “WET WET.”
Directed by Rob Horwitz, the video finds Hayley joined by fellow swimmers Morgan Quinn and Liv Mai, with cameos from Liza Koshy and Inanna Sarkis. “WET WET” appears on Hayley Law’s debut LP titled Last Summer which she self-released on August 14th (Digital/Vinyl), co-produced by Law with Jesse Boykins III and MeLo-X. Hayley recently starred in a film called Urinal Revolution which premiered at the Broad Humor Film Fest in Santa Monica, CA in September, and “WET WET” is also featured in the film.
Hayley Law shares: “I spent the summer attempting to make and share synchronized swimming videos with my friends and we had so much fun doing it, so it only felt right to give ‘WET WET’ its own poolside moment. Every time I watch it, I get a little piece of a hot chaotic girls day back. Olympics 2028? I’ll let the people decide.”
Originally from Vancouver, Hayley has been featured in 5 Emerging Canadian Artists You Need to Hear by Exclaim! and New Vancouver Music by The Georgia Straight. Hayley celebrated the release with live events in her adopted hometown of Los Angeles at Levi’s Haus of Strauss and at Silverlake Lounge, and next has an upcoming homecoming show in her native Vancouver set to take place November 6th at Biltmore Cabaret.

Last Summer includes the single “Circle Back” released in July, which gained attention from NPR Music, The Line of Best Fit, The Joy of Violent Movement, Fusicology and more upon its release.
Last Summer was announced in June with the punchy title track “Last Summer” as a single, along with a video featuring Hayley and Shea Webster performing a stripped-down acoustic version of the song filmed by Matthew Chavez at Boykins’ Peace Tree Studio, directed by Rob Horwitz.
Regarding the title track, which was co-written with Jesse Boykins III, Hayley shares: “This song was so much fun to write. It came from Jesse and I chatting about running into people from our past and how things change so quickly. ‘Last Summer’ is a story of what appeared to be an amicable break up and then I found out that my ex was bad mouthing me. I never said anything to retaliate and let karma do her thing. This song is my karma.”
As for the session video, Law shares: “I didn’t actually plan on doing an acoustic version of this song. Shea and I were filming something else and kept going back to singing ‘Last Summer’ because it’s just so much fun. My director Rob turned and said ‘Lets shoot this one too!’ and we just went for it. The song when I first wrote it wasn’t even in my top 3 of favorites on the album and it’s become my #1.”
