Today, rising indie-pop artist Saniyé (pronounced saw-knee-yay) presents her fresh new single “GAME OVER?”, vailable today via 6/8 Records.

Saniyé’s new track is largely inspired by her childhood playing video games, though it is spun in a much more mature light. “GAME OVER?” perfectly blends confidence, nostalgia, and vulnerability with a little bit of chaos, creating an infectious and memorable pop tune that drips in emotion and candor. At its core, the new track is a “nerdcore” track that uses video games as an analogy to romance, highlighting the moment when love starts to feel less like a fairytale and more like a game.

Saniyé is a multi-award-winning eclectic pop artist, songwriter, producer, and founder of 6/8 Music, a collaborative community empowering women through music. In 2007, she first gained international recognition by winning the Grand Prize in the World Music category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for “Boom Sheke Nana.”  The resulting win helped catapult her into the spotlight in her native Turkey, generating extensive coverage across national television, magazines, newspapers, and radio, making her a widely recognized figure within the country’s music and entertainment scene.

 Saniyé’s debut album was produced in NYC by Grammy-winner Henri Scars Struck, followed by her sophomore release Let’s Play, which was produced and mixed by Mikal Blue (Colbie Caillat, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Macy Gray, Rita Wilson). Sinem served as a GrammyU© mentor with The Berklee School of Music via the Recording Academy in 2025, received an ISSA Songwriter of the Year nomination, and a Silver Global Music Award in 2026 for her song “Love x3” off of the album Let’s Play.

Her upcoming 3 singles will connect the story one level at a time, leading to the release of Saniye’s new EP, Player 1: Meet Me at The Arcade, expected Summer 2027.
