Sophia Stel- the greatest album of all time

Pop luminary Sophia Stel has shared her much-anticipated debut album the greatest album of all time, highlighted by the anthemic ‘Power’, out now via A24 Music.

‘Power’ is a dynamic display of Stel’s penchant for dreamy hedonism, with a zigzag of effervescent thrill and punchy electronica that effusively and effectively contextualises both the rapid acceleration of Stel’s own life and the shedding of inhibitions in the embrace of this new worldview.
Directed by Stel as well as Aaron Lum and Scarlet Ross, the video for ‘Power’ spans the boardroom to the living room to the club, a voyeuristic outlook into the “work hard play hard” ethos of Stel herself. the greatest album of all time effectively captures the full kaleidoscope of emotion that comes with riding the tide of a new life, while navigating all of the relationships that come and go in between. Effortlessly oscillating between moods, there’s a track for every moment between the come-up and the comedown: from the quiet trepidation of ‘I’ll Walk’ to the throbbing club of ‘Burn’ and downtempo trance-like excursions of ‘On My Dick’, the twelve-track runtime showcases Stel’s expertise at traversing the realm of electronic pop and is a captivating patchwork of the lucid dreams that come with a new life in the spotlight, all self-produced by Stel.
“The album is about believing in yourself and believing in love and is dedicated to my brothers Luke and Royce” – Sophia Stel
Sophia Stel’s debut the greatest album of all time walks a liminal edge rarely encountered in contemporary pop music. Euphoric deconstructed club tracks reminiscent of classic Euro-rave anthems rise and fall alongside textured ambient synths, modulated vocals, and confessional lyricism. In a sea of algorithmically reinforced micro-genres, Stel’s unique sound breaks through thanks to her deeply personal songwriting and a meticulous combination of dance floor-beckoning electronic production paired with subdued and emotionally charged melodies. The record was previewed by last month’s ‘I Do’, April’s ‘Bitches Talk Shit’, which caught the attention of Robyn; June’s ‘Molly In The Club’; and August’s heartfelt ‘Now I’ve Got A Lot You Know’. Having recently sat down with Vogue Magazine, graced the pages of Wonderland Magazine’s Miley Cyrus guest-edited Summer 2026 issue as well as the cover of POP Magazine, Stel has also been tapped as Spotify’s RADAR artist of the month, which recognizes artists demonstrating significant cultural and commercial impact, another career milestone for the Canadian-born artist who continues to leave a global impression. Sophia looks forward to performing at A.G. Cook and PC Music’s POP CRYPT event at Knockdown Center in Brooklyn this October and headlining the Sunday of And Always Forever Festival in Los Angeles before closing out the year with performances at Primavera Sound in Buenos Aires and São Paulo, as well her debut Australian tour where she will play intimate shows at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne’s The Nightcat plus a slot on the Meredith Music Festival 2026 line up.
