Appleseed – Morning Blue

Young Las Vegas phenoms Appleseed announce their new album Morning Blue, out November 20th.

Preceded by the first offering from this forthcoming project “Side Effects May Include,” which they shared in August, the band are also sharing new single “Listen To Me” today.
The new track is a white-knuckled indictment of the failings of America’s healthcare system, packaged into a frantic, propulsive orchestra of bass, drums and screeching guitar strings. Alongside the single, the band are also sharing a live performance visual of the track, recorded at Cutie Brothers.
In the band’s own words: “‘Listen to Me’ is a song about frustration with the health care system in America. It specifically discusses the experience of people who menstruate, people whose bodies and experiences are gravely under researched, and people who are denied health care for any reason.”
Morning Blue is Appleseed’s debut full length, despite the band already owning a decorated touring record playing shows across the country and sharing bills with the likes of Show Me The Body and The Jins, as well as festival sets like Viva PHX. The band’s debut project is the culmination of a series of early singles including “Is it the Glow of Street Lights or Heaven?” and “Speak” that showed an incredibly talented, angry and refreshing band with a range beyond their years. Appleseed cements that promise into a concise and powerful introduction for a band capable of exploring and channeling their own vision for post-hardcore, alternative and grunge sounds. The direct and poignantly-written Morning Blue fans the flames of youthful angst, rooted in frustrations with a neglectful healthcare system and indecipherable medications, queer life and advocating for marginalized communities and more.
