Jane Remover – Beauty Sleep
Jane Remover shares the new single and music video “Beauty Sleep” today via deadAir, her first offering since the surprise release of the ♡ EP and Revengeseekerz last year.
“Beauty Sleep” ushers in a new chapter for Jane Remover and arrives with a Brendon Burton-directed music video featuring Jane as a specimen in a test tube, getting prodded at by scientists in a tiled room, and escaping to the coast on a motorcycle.
“Beauty Sleep” continues a star-making year for Jane, as she brought her jaw-dropping headline tour to Europe and wowed festival crowds across the globe, including Coachella, Roskilde, Reading, and Governor’s Ball. On the recorded side of things, Jane joined Akriila for the collaborative track “suave” and dropped the Nowhere EP under her side project venturing. Despite not having a major release this year, Jane’s presence, whether on stage, in interviews, or just outside, continues to reverberate online with any movement, and her name remains ever-present in the larger music conversation. Jane is currently midway through her sold-out headlining Live Exhibit tour across North America with support from Dazegxd. Later this fall, Jane will make her debut at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles as well.
Remover’s groundbreaking debut album Frailty, which rose from the underground music community in 2021 and cemented Jane as one of the brightest stars at the height of the digicore and hyperpop explosion. Her 2023 follow-up, Census Designated, a foray into guitar-centric music, arrived to much critical acclaim, including The Guardian donning it with 5/5 stars.
Last year also saw the release of Jane’s lauded full-length album Revengeseekerz, which includes standouts “JRJRJR,” “Dancing with your eyes closed,” and “Psychoboost” featuring Danny Brown. Additionally, Jane sold out her first North American headline tour, supported Turnstile’s NEVER ENOUGH tour, debuted at Lollapalooza, Primavera Sound, and Outbreak, and played her first-ever headline shows across Europe. In December last year, she surprise-released the ♡ EP, which has quickly become a fan favorite with tracks like “Music Baby” and “Magic I Want U.” With its ambitious bravado and catchy hooks, the ♡ EP solidified her as not only an exciting songwriter and producer, but a rising star.
