Tokyo Tea Room – Hypnotised

Tokyo Tea Room by Tamibé Bourdanné2

Margate, UK’s Tokyo Tea Room release “Hypnotised,” the fourth single from their new album, Feel Forever, out September 18th via Nice Guys.

Following the Random Access Memories-esque “Always In The Sun,” the relaxed shimmy of “Hypnotised” transports the listener far away from the East Kent coast to balmier climates. The track is as danceable as it is dreamy and romantic, capturing an enthralling and obsessive love. It lends itself perfectly to relaxed cocktail hours and dinner parties with friends, without forgetting those romantic moments.

“‘Hypnotised’ is about that feeling of being completely drawn in, when everything else around you seems to blur,” says the band’s Daniel James Elliot. “It’s the uncertainty and fantasy that contribute to the excitement of something new, and I wanted to reflect that in this song, kinda like a soundtrack to your mind wandering into a daydream.”

Feel Forever2

Tokyo Tea Room—Daniel James Elliott, Beth Dunn, Ben Marshall, Sam Teather, and Sam Ewens—is a timeless project whose message transcends the music itself. The band arouses passions and emotions, taking listeners on a journey within a tender, comforting bubble. Their debut album, No Rush, established them as one of the most compelling emerging acts in alternative music, resonating with a growing global audience. With millions of monthly listeners and a sold-out debut North American tour, the band are rapidly building momentum, particularly in the US, where their audience continues to expand. With Feel Forever, Tokyo Tea Room are entering a defining new chapter, evolving their sound while staying rooted in the emotional depth that defines their work.

Feel Forever was written and produced by Elliott with co-production by Kristofer Harris, marking the first time Elliot worked with a producer. Of the recording process, Elliot says, “We took a yacht rock approach to the recording, taking our time to smooth all the edges and make something that felt more polished than the last record. Both of us spent hours obsessing over the smallest detail, which felt very apt for this album. The result is something that we are all very proud of, it’s a different kind of Tokyo Tea Room that has come out the other side of it, but it feels right and I hope people enjoy listening.”

Tokyo Tea Room will return to North America next month touring in support of Feel Forever.
