Kim Theory – Trophy Wife
All-girl Los Angeles teen band, Kim Theory announced today that their sophomore recording, the four song EP Trophy Wife was released digitallyon all DSPs.

Recorded by Paul Roessler (Screamers, DC3, 45 Grave, Twisted Roots) at his Kitten Robot Studios in Los Angeles, Kim Theory are a mix of indie rock music with riot girrrrl and pop punk influences. They are Audrey Cymone (vocals), Lula Seifert (guitar), Lucy Fraser (bass) and Zoey Su (drums.) And their name? It’s a reference to musicians/heroes Kim Gordon, Kim Shattuck and Kim Deal.
This combination of new and old media attention connected them to first-generation riot grrrl band Bratmobile in 2025 who reposted their cover of “Gimme Brains” to their Instagram page and shortly afterward invited the girls to come on stage at in Los Angeles to sing on the tune in front of the fans at a sold-out show. In 2026, Bratmobile asked Kim Theory to officially open their upcoming LA show. This once-in-a-lifetime experience for the girls is now a repeat event!
Kim Theory will make their festival debut later this month in Chicago at Lollapalooza with multiple sets including an after show set with Finn Wolfhard (of Stranger Things fame). The band will also be performing this fall with Bratmobile in Los Angeles and making another debut at the Darker Waves festival in Orange County in November alongside headliners Morrissey, Smashing Pumpkins, Bad Religion, Adam Ant and others.
