Mia Moretti – Backseat Baby

Following the success of her first release this year with “GET READY!”, Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, and cultural tastemaker Mia Moretti returns with her next track, the massive summer club heater “Backseat Baby” feat. electro pop pioneer Uffie. It is out today, July 10 via her own Spaghetti Moretti Records and will appear on her upcoming EP also titled GET READY! due out later this summer.

“Backseat Baby” arrives just in time for the height of the summer season with an intoxicating, chunky groove and day-to-night energy. It captures the raw, hazy energy of a girls’ night out – infectious, thick, and unapologetically addictive designed to lock the listener in. From the ride out to the dancefloor, the track is a tongue-in-cheek throwback and an instant classic. It serves a relentless, hypnotic, discofied loop and a phat bassline, anchored by Uffie’s sultry and a bit sassy vocal hooks—inviting you to the front, and of course, the backseat, baby.

Mia Moretti and Uffie debuted the single live during Mia’s jampacked SUMMERTRAMP set at West Hollywood’s Pride event, the OUTLOUD Music Festival in early June. A longtime fixture at the intersection of music, fashion, and nightlife, Moretti has spent over a decade building a reputation through her distinctive DJ sets – rooted in classic disco, and vocal-driven house – while steadily carving out her voice as a producer.

Beyond the music, Moretti continues to expand the world of “Chef’s Kiss,” her monthly SIRIUS XM show on Diplo’s Revolution (Ch. 53) which airs the first Saturday every month. This summer, Chef’s Kiss Radio will land in Ibiza alongside Moretti’s artist residency. Details to be announced very soon.  This marks an exciting new chapter where she’ll record live episodes of her monthly SiriusXM show, bringing the signature energy of Chef’s Kiss directly from the island to a global audience.
