Tokyo Tea Room – Feel Forever

Tokyo Team Room by Tamibé Bourdanné2

Margate, UK’s Tokyo Tea Room announce their second album, Feel Forever, out September 18th via Nice Guys, with the new single, “All Night.”

Tokyo Tea Room create music inspired by human emotions, exploring themes of longing and the ephemeral nature of existence. “I have a fascination with the impermanent nature of human emotion, moments of feeling that can be powerful and inconsequential at the same time,” songwriter Daniel James Elliott says of Tokyo Tea Room’s new album. “Feel Forever is a response to these natural hits of dopamine, a window to all these things that live on in my mind beyond their expiry date. It’s a mix of the good, the bad and the strange, which I think reflects the outside chaos.”

Feel Forever

Feel Forever expands the group’s vision around a theme as universal as it is personal: love. Across 10 tracks where you can feel both the groove and the tenderness, unfolds an almost chronological narrative on the complexity of a romantic relationship. True to their bedroom and DIY identity, the group lets their groovy and pop inspirations speak for themselves, creating an album that’s as romantic as it is danceable.

Feel Forever was written and produced by Elliott with co-production by Kristofer Harris, marking the first time Elliot worked with a producer. Of the recording process, Elliot says, “We took a yacht rock approach to the recording, taking our time to smooth all the edges and make something that felt more polished than the last record. Both of us spent hours obsessing over the smallest detail, which felt very apt for this album. The result is something that we are all very proud of, it’s a different kind of Tokyo Tea Room that has come out the other side of it, but it feels right and I hope people enjoy listening.”

Following “Eyes Off You,” an atmospheric track about obsessive love, “All Night” was written around themes of desire, vulnerability and tender possessiveness. Vocalist Beth Dunn sings about love through the lens of positive surrender, wrapped in the beautiful composition and playing of the band. Stopping the endless search for understanding, letting go of the urge to intellectualise everything, and giving in to the impulses that love provokes in order to feel alive again.

Tokyo Tea Room— Dunn, Elliott, Ben Marshall, Sam Teather, and Sam Ewens—is a timeless project whose message transcends the music itself. The band arouses passions and emotions, taking listeners on a journey within a tender, comforting bubble. Their debut album, No Rush, established them as one of the most compelling emerging acts in alternative music, resonating with a growing global audience. With millions of monthly listeners and a sold-out debut North American tour, the band are rapidly building momentum, particularly in the US, where their audience continues to expand. With Feel Forever, Tokyo Tea Room are entering a defining new chapter, evolving their sound while staying rooted in the emotional depth that defines their work.

Tokyo Tea Room will return to North America this fall touring in support of forthcoming new music.
