Brooklyn-born Leaf returns today with In Your Dreams Pt. II, the latest installment in her ever-evolving Dream Girl universe.
Led by the focus track “City of Love,” the project finds Leaf expanding the world she first introduced on Dream Girl, pushing further into her own vibrant brand of pop while embracing themes of manifestation, fantasy, self-belief, and ambition.
Serving as the next chapter in her Dream Girl era, In Your Dreams Pt. II bridges listeners into a deeper, bolder sonic landscape where dreams become reality and confidence takes center stage. Throughout the project, Leaf explores what it means to fully step into the life you’ve envisioned for yourself, capturing the exhilaration, vulnerability, and freedom that come with chasing something bigger.
The project’s foundation was laid by the title track “In Your Dreams,” a shimmering, self-assured anthem driven by bright cinematic trumpet melodies and expansive production.
At the center of the release is focus track “City of Love,” a confident, intoxicating standout that further showcases Leaf’s ability to blend genre-defying songwriting with undeniable hooks. Together, the songs on In Your Dreams Pt. II continue to build a world where fantasy and reality blur, inviting listeners to dream bigger alongside her.
A boundary-pushing artist with deep musical roots, Leaf has spent years carving out a lane entirely her own. Inspired by her grandfather, legendary jazz saxophonist Jackie McLean, she honed her craft at New York City’s LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts before breaking through with her 2017 project Trinity and fan-favorite singles including “FWM” and “Nada” featuring Lil Yachty. Beyond music, Leaf has made her mark across fashion and beauty, collaborating with Pat McGrath and brands including Good American and Baby Phat.
Following the release of her acclaimed 2024 project Dream Girl, In Your Dreams Pt. II further expands Leaf’s artistic vision, solidifying her place as one of the most compelling genre-blurring voices emerging from New York’s creative landscape.
