flowerovlove – American Wedding

Capitol Records recording artist flowerovlove’s nuptials turn into an old-fashioned melodrama, complete with intertitle cards, in the official video for her new single “American Wedding.” The beautiful bride faces a succession of grooms who prove problematic when asked, “Do you take mini skirt warrior to be your wife?” Directed by flowerovlove, the video features cameos from TDE artist alemeda, “Just Trish” podcast co-host Oscar Gracey, creative director Misha Sattar (Chappell Roan) and WILLOW.
Upon its release in April, “American Wedding” earned a spot on Rolling Stone’s Songs You Need to Know playlist. The Los Angeles Times declared, “flowerovlove redefines what pop stardom means” in this recent feature in which flowerovlove shares how “American Wedding” was inspired by the unreleased Frank Ocean track of the same name. She explained, “I just love the concept of that song, and I feel like it was a banging title, so I wrote a whole story about that from the title.”
This weekend, the 21-year-old artist will play The Governors Ball in New York City (June 6) and the OUTLOUD Music Festival at WeHo Pride in the Los Angeles area (June 7). She will support label mate Niall Horan on the UK dates of his Dinner Party Live On Tour, which kicks off September 22 in Birmingham and includes two nights at The O2 Arena in London. See below for itinerary.
flowerovlove has become one-to-watch in the worlds of both music and style. Winner of a Music Week Women In Music award and nominated for a MOBO, she has amassed over 142 million combined global streams in her career to date, including over 40 million streams for “breaking news” and over 20 million for “a girl like me.” She recently attended Fashion Week shows in Paris (AMF), New York (Coach, Calvin Klein, Christian Cowen) and London (Miu Miu, H&M, Kent & Curwen). In 2025, flowerovlove teamed up with Louis Vuitton on this campaign and collaborated with Etsy on a holiday gift collection inspired by her first-ever holiday song, “wishlist.”
