Eden Rain – Open Season

Eden Rain returns with her new single ‘Open Season’ via APOLLO Distribution, the first glimpse into a new chapter that finds her pushing further into her world without losing the warmth and sharp-eyed writing that has defined her music so far.
Written with Ed Denholm and Sofy, ‘Open Season’ explores stubbornness as both a source of protection and a form of self-sabotage.
“I can be a pretty bull-headed person at times (often to my own detriment) and so I wrote this song about my instinct to hold on tightly and to stay stubborn to something even when sometimes I probably should be letting go. It’s a cautionary tale of what happens when you fall deeper into a trap of your own commitment, with a couple of Joan of arc metaphors chucked in…” Eden shares.
Beginning in a restrained hush before gradually gathering momentum, ‘Open Season’ mirrors the cycle at the heart of its story. The soft-focus production and drifting melodies feel light on its feet, almost untethered, but the writing keeps pulling the song back to earth.
‘Open Season’ follows a defining period for Eden. Her 2025 EP ‘Can I Come Too?’ earned support from Spotify playlists including New Music Friday UK, New Music Friday UAE, New Pop UK, Peach, Our Generation and Fresh Finds Pop, while a sold-out headline show at Oslo, Hackney marked her biggest live moment to date.
While the qualities that have made Eden Rain stand out remain firmly intact, ‘Open Season’ suggests an artist broadening the frame. More assured in its sound and sharper in its perspective, ‘Open Season’ marks the beginning of a new phase which builds on everything that has come before while allowing her songwriting to reach further than ever.
