sooyeon – let’s go

London-based Korean DJ and producer sooyeon returns with a new single, “let’s go”, that shifts her sound into a warmer, more house-leaning space.
Best known for her effervescent high-energy techno-leaning and bass-heavy sets and productions, this latest release captures a different moment on the dancefloor – capturing the feeling of that point where daylight fades and the night rolls in.
Built around rolling grooves, buoyant low-end and a sense of lift, the track trades peak-time pressure for something more open and emotionally led. Rooted in club functionality but stretching into a lighter space, it captures that communal moment of anticipation as daylight fades and the night rolls in across festivals and dancefloors. Her new single arrives as something of a seasonal departure, sooyeon explains, “it’s the feeling of golden hour, bottled into a club track.”
Speaking on the release, she continues: “I wanted to encapsulate that feeling you get at a festival at peak golden hour, as the day slowly transitions into evening with the whole night stretching out ahead. It’s housey, bouncy, and made for those moments when the dancefloor is bubbling towards its peak.”
The release marks a natural shift in her sound and approach – opening up space for softness, escapism and connection, while retaining the rhythmic precision and physicality that define her productions. Where previous releases leaned into darker, high-impact techno territory, here she moves with a lighter touch, focusing on atmosphere and emotion.
Her 2024 debut EP Block N Delete, released via Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce, was hailed as one of the year’s best by Mixmag – a no-nonsense love letter to the club, charting the creation and collapse of a relationship in the digital age. Since then, she has followed with releases on Cross Country and Nehza, co-production credits on Jax Jones and Rebecca Black’s ‘Bad Boys’ (remixed by MCR-T and DJ Love), contributed to RONI’s Transex compilation alongside Doctor Jeep and Entrañas, and dropped a string of club-ready singles including more than a friend, a high-impact techno track noted for its tension and bounce, and even featuring a proper seal of approval with a dBridge remix.
Further credits include a remix for K-pop group Hearts2Hearts on ScreaM Records with DJ Seinfeld and Young Franco, and a growing run of standout shows spanning Glastonbury, fabric, and essential grassroots underground spaces like Ambers, playing alongside cult DJ/producer Batu. With a steadily expanding catalogue and presence, sooyeon continues to carve out a distinct lane within UK club music – balancing intensity with emotional depth and crossover appeal.
