ilykimchi – Poser

On the heels of her run opening for Six Sex on her 2026 tour and a whirlwind year of underground DJ sets, Los Angeles artist and producer ilykimchi has returned with a new single, “Poser” — out now via Don’t Be Greedy alongside an accompanying music video.

“Poser” drives home her vision of party-ready alternative pop music with an edge, and is highlighted by a brazen satire of modern Americana, culminating in Kimchi herself blowing the head off an ICE agent. The release follows a collaboration with Skrillex on his 2025 Grammy-nominated album Fuck U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol but Ur Not!! and her buzzy debut performance at Rolling Loud Orlando last weekend.

ilykimchi’s early production work drew on a diverse range of influences, from Future and Lil Uzi Vert to Playboi Carti and the Drain Gang collective. Hailing from Los Angeles, she initially focused on producing beats for other artists and first began recording her own vocals in 2021, creating songs that were originally intended as experimental exercises rather than formal releases. Her 2023 debut album, agony, was born from this period of sonic exploration, emerging organically as a natural progression of her consistent production, songwriting, and recording. The release served as a full-circle moment for ilykimchi, expanding her scope from producer to recording artist. In 2025, she launched her Dollhaus event series, hosting a run of underground parties in New York and Los Angeles and establishing her as an influential figure in the nascent new electronic underground. Her sophomore LP I Love You Kimchi is set for a late-June release this summer.
