Gracie Abrams – Daughter From Hell

Today, GRAMMY®-nominated singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams announces her third studio album, Daughter from Hell, out July 17th via Interscope Records. The album was written and produced by Gracie alongside two-time GRAMMY®- winning collaborator Aaron Dessner.
On his ongoing producing relationship with Abrams, Dessner says “I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since Gracie and I started making songs together. I’m deeply grateful for every song we have made and the way we have kept challenging ourselves and growing together, sometimes hitting the wall, and then pushing and breaking through.”
He continues, “It has been such a journey since we began working on Daughter from Hell two years ago. We started on the same day that we recorded “That’s So True” and “I Told You Things” at Electric Lady in New York. Since then we have searched and searched for songs in Long Pond, in London and back at Electric Lady.
Gracie officially announced the lead single “Hit the Wall” earlier this month after teasing it on socials. The single will officially be released this Thursday at 5 PM PST/ 8 PM EST. While speaking with Vogue at the 2026 MET Gala last week, Abrams shared of the new single, “It’s the introduction to this new chapter, and I feel grateful and relieved that this is the introduction. I love the song so much and I love the people I made it with. It feels embodied and that feels good. I’m excited for it to belong to everyone else.”
Dessner adds, “You’ll hear us expanding our musical vocabulary and pushing into uncharted waters sonically, and most of all the sharpening and deepening of Gracie’s lyricism in ways that continue to astound me. This album contains absolutely the most moving and powerful work we have done together and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”
Daughter from Hell marks a new chapter for Gracie following her sophomore album, The Secret of Us, released in June 2024. The album earned Gracie her first ever #1 in the UK, Australia and the Netherlands and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. Standout tracks include “Close to You” which earned Gracie her first ever solo debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and “I Love You, I’m Sorry” which peaked at #9 on the US Spotify Chart, #31 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as Top 20 on the Spotify Global chart. The deluxe album featured seven additional songs including “That’s So True,” which shot up to #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marked Gracie’s first entry in the top 10.
Beyond music, Abrams is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming A24 film Please, directed by Halina Reijn.
