Roman Candle – How To Be Considered When You’re Not In The Room

The long wait ended last Friday as Las Vegas sonic auteurs, Roman Candle released their highly anticipated debut album, Unadulterated, via Sumerian Records.

A 12-track collection of pure, unbridled fury delivered with ferocious, pinpoint emotional precision, Unadulterated arrived on a wave of critical and fan acclaim, cementing the band as one of the most vital and exciting new prospects in the realm of heavy music.
Highlighting the release of their debut full-length, Roman Candle have today dropped the official music video for focus track “How To Be Considered When You’re Not In The Room”.
Seven previous singles across seven months previewed what Roman Candle have been building towards on the album: twelve tracks that move through misogyny and survival, OCD and religious guilt, industry disillusionment, obsession and retribution. Each track is its own complete statement. Together they make a record that truly reflects its title. Speaking on the release of Roman Candle’s long-awaited debut album, vocalist Piper Ferrari shares
“Putting out Unadulterated feels like finally saying something we’ve been circling for a long time, but never this plainly. There’s no distance on this record as it’s all instinct, all nerve. We wanted it to feel immediate and unfiltered, like you’re hearing us figure ourselves out in real time. For a debut, it felt important not to hide behind anything and to let it be messy, loud, vulnerable, and exactly what it is.”
Unadulterated closes on “How To Be Considered When You’re Not In The Room.” The track is an unravelling of the need to occupy someone’s mind even in absence. It opens as worship and ends as something far less forgiving. “Consider me even though I fucking hate you” a scathing declaration of simultaneous devotion and contempt.
