Leanna Firestone – Town Ain’t Big Enough

Leanna Firestone by SEAN WORTH FOR CROWD SURF

Indie pop singer-songwriter Leanna Firestone returns today with her new single, “Town Ain’t Big Enough,” an honest and emotionally charged track that captures the suffocating reality of navigating a breakup while still living in the same city.

Alongside the release, Leanna officially announces her forthcoming debut album The Answer, due out May 15.

Built around candid lyricism, “Town Ain’t Big Enough” finds Leanna unpacking the strange limbo of heartbreak when distance isn’t an option. The track captures the disorienting experience of still orbiting shared spaces and memories long after a relationship has ended, further showcasing her ability to turn hyper-specific emotional moments into something universally resonant.

“”Town Ain’t Big Enough’ is the perfect song for the recently heartbroken!” shares Leanna. “This song is the encapsulation of the petty sass that sadness inspires upon seeing your ex for the first time after a break up. This town ain’t big enough for both of us, so if I’m going to have to see you out I might as well make sure I look chic when I do (even if I cry about it when I get home.)”

“Town Ain’t Big Enough” offers another glimpse into The Answer, a project that further cements Leanna as one of indie pop’s most compelling young voices. Written through the lens of her friends’ relationships and breakups, the album marks a subtle but powerful shift in perspective. Rather than centering solely on her own experiences, Leanna zooms out, examining love from the outside.

With over 100 million career streams and a fiercely loyal fanbase, Firestone continues to prove that her unfiltered honestly doesn’t just attract attention – it builds lasting connection. Known for transforming awkward memories and uncomfortable truths into communal, singalong-ready anthems, she first broke through with viral hit “Strawberry Mentos,” followed by fan favorites “Least Favorite Only Child” and “Diet Coke,” each surpassing 10 million streams.

In celebration of the new single and forthcoming album, Leanna will bring this new era to the stage on “The Victory Lap Tour,” a 19-date U.S. headline run kicking off May 22 in Dallas. The tour marks her biggest headline run to date and will give fans their first live experience of The Answer.

With a rapidly expanding global audience, Leanna now steps into her most fully realized chapter yet – one that embraces sharp edges, expands her perspective, and solidifies her voice as both singular and deeply relatable.
