ggwendolyn – Jock My Style

Today, LA-based ggwendolyn unveils a new track and video, “Jock My Style.” The video, directed by Madeline Leary, sees ggwendolyn trying to win over multiple sets of twins with her performance at a Twin Convention.
ggwendolyn says, I had the phrase “Jock My Style” stuck in my head for a minute. I really wanted a song that embodied the delusional unwavering confidence an artist possesses – and the feelings surrounding sharing ideas while fearing others might take them as their own. Unfortunately, if you beat to your own drum, people really do try to jock your style.
ggwendolyn is an LA-based singer, songwriter, and producer crafting confessional alternative indie-pop rooted in emotional honesty. Writing songs since age 12, she grew up between cultures: her father is an Iranian immigrant working in IT, and her mother is an Italian-American hairdresser from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The pair met in line at the DMV in Los Angeles. “It never happens like that anymore,” ggwendolyn says wistfully.
By 16, she was already attending writing sessions and developing her craft by writing for other artists, later collaborating with Chappell Roan, Ryn Weaver, Shallou, FLETCHER, and AlunaGeorge. She also contributed backing vocals to “Red Wine Supernova” by Chappell Roan.
In 2024, ggwendolyn released her debut EP Nancy and the Crooked Cowboy, which has surpassed 3 million streams, led by the breakout track “My Year of Rest & Relaxation.” In 2025, she followed with three interconnected EPs—Black Hole Swimming Pool, Small Town Rodeo, and Everything’s A Mess—further expanding her cinematic, diaristic world.
On stage, she has toured North America in support of MICHELLE, as well as Lauren Mayberry and FLETCHER.
