ggwendolyn – Crisscross Way

Today, LA-based ggwendolyn unveils a new track and video, “Crisscross Way.” The video, directed by Madeline Leary, sees ggwendolyn in the desert accompanied by an angel and devil, both attempting to lure her into their respective worlds (her internal thoughts).
ggwendolyn says, “I started writing in Carefree, Arizona, at the start of 2025. This song is representative of the days I spend with internal chaos. The crossroads of life. Which path am I going to take? To give up or to not give up. To fight or to run. To resist or cower. Somebody help me cause I can’t decide.”
ggwendolyn is an LA-based singer, songwriter, and producer crafting confessional alternative indie-pop rooted in emotional honesty. Writing songs since age 12, she grew up between cultures: her father is an Iranian immigrant working in IT, and her mother is an Italian-American hairdresser from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The pair met in line at the DMV in Los Angeles. “It never happens like that anymore,” ggwendolyn says wistfully.
By 16, she was already attending writing sessions and developing her craft by writing for other artists, later collaborating with Chappell Roan, Ryn Weaver, Shallou, FLETCHER, and AlunaGeorge. She also contributed backing vocals to “Red Wine Supernova” by Chappell Roan.
In 2024, ggwendolyn released her debut EP Nancy and the Crooked Cowboy, which has surpassed 3 million streams, led by the breakout track “My Year of Rest & Relaxation.” In 2025, she followed with three interconnected EPs—Black Hole Swimming Pool, Small Town Rodeo, and Everything’s A Mess—further expanding her cinematic, diaristic world.
On stage, she has toured North America in support of MICHELLE, as well as Lauren Mayberry and FLETCHER.
