Devon Gabriella – Old Time’s Sake

Today, rising singer-songwriter Devon Gabriella releases her new single “Old Time’s Sake” via BMG.
A sharp, self-aware take on revisiting a love that never quite worked, the track balances emotional honesty with a playful edge, marking a confident step forward for the 24-year-old artist.
After teasing “Old Time’s Sake” on social media, fans flooded her platforms with organic reaction videos, building undeniable buzz ahead of its release. Rather than leaning into a straightforward heartbreak track, Devon turns emotional déjà vu into a soaring, hook-filled anthem layered with shimmering acoustic textures and punchy percussion. Capturing the sting of “what if” while radiating the confidence of “I’m not the same anymore,” the single feels reflective yet triumphant. It is a bold step forward in her evolution as an artist.
Originally from the Bay Area and now based in Los Angeles, Devon has steadily climbed from playing tiny venues to performing on major stages, a rise grounded in years of independent releases and intentional community-building. She first began releasing music in 2020 and has since shared 13 additional singles, two EPs, and her 2024 debut album, From the Next Room.
Drawing inspiration from Taylor Swift’s confessional lyricism, Kacey Musgraves’ wit, Fleetwood Mac’s melodic sensibility, and the emotional immediacy of Gracie Abrams, Devon crafts modern pop songs rooted in vulnerability, nostalgia, and emotional clarity. Her 2025 EP, The Garden, marked a period of personal and creative growth, expanding her sonic palette and deepening the connection with her rapidly growing fan community, many of whom show up to performances in flower crowns inspired by the project’s themes of comfort and belonging.
Devon will perform at SXSW this year as part of the BMG Label & Publishing Showcase at Elysium (705 Red River St) on Friday, March 13, 2026. With more new music on the horizon, “Old Time’s Sake” sets the tone for what’s shaping up to be Devon Gabriella’s most assured and compelling year yet.
