TOMORA – Somewhere Else

TOMORA

Today, TOMORA, the new duo of AURORA and Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers, release their brand-new single “SOMEWHERE ELSE” in tandem with its Zane Lowe Apple Music Premiere and an exclusive interview with TOMORA and Zane Lowe. The official video was directed by Adam Smith and S T A R T !.

“SOMEWHERE ELSE” is TOMORA at their purest. Beginning with a beautiful, otherworldly vocal melody that could be beamed from a distant star and channeled through AURORA, the track is fused with a blissed-out and unrelentingly heavy rhythm track that dissolves into something intimate and unplaceable – both familiar and strange, eternal and addictive.

Of the new single, AURORA says: “’SOMEWHERE ELSE’ is one of the first songs we ever wrote, as TOMORA. And it opened up a big door for us, into our world.”

TOM says: “Ever since AURORA sang that melody to me it’s been running around my head brightening my day. We played an early version of the song at Glastonbury Festival and it felt like magic. Now we get to share it, it’s a total joy.”

A distillation of sound, message, and superpowered sonics, the “SOMEWHERE ELSE” is taken from the duo’s forthcoming album COME CLOSER out April 17th via Capitol Records.

COME CLOSER

“SOMEWHERE ELSE” follows the February release of the title track and the debut single “RING THE ALARM.”

At first, speculation was rife as to who (or what) the mysterious TOMORA was, after the name appeared on the Coachella 2026 Festival line-up poster with no additional information. With COME CLOSER, Tom and AURORA have created something authentically their own. In a world increasingly shaped by algorithms, this music sounds like two innovative artists bouncing ever more ambitious and ever more brilliant ideas off each other to see how far they can go.

Dancefloors and festival fields across the globe are about to find out, too. TOMORA will perform their first-ever live show on March 25th in the UK at Manchester’s New Century Hall and debut their US live show at Coachella on April 12, with a second set at the festival on April 19. TOMORA will be performing a set of underplay shows in California during Coachella week, bringing their live show to San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom on April 14 and The El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on April 16.

COME CLOSER is less about two separate artists finding a fertile middle ground and more the sound of a tenacious duo connecting in the studio and hitting massive creative peaks together. Across the album, Tom and AURORA build their own unique space — somewhere they can produce the kind of magic and electricity that comes from flicking through a perfect record collection, flowing from the wigged-out psychedelia of the 1960s to the super-futurism of sounds imagined for the 2060s. COME CLOSER: TOMORA is here.
