Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith – Drip (Joe Goddard remix)

After announcing a new collection of remixes from her 2025 critically acclaimed album, GUSH, influential electronic artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith releases a new cut from the project with a remix of “Drip” by Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard.
The two friends and like-minded collaborators have teamed up before, most recently on the Smuggler’s Way Neptunes EP from 2024. On the “Drip” remix, we hear stutter-step drums and an arpeggiated synth that evolves into an angular take on the opener from Kaitlyn’s recent album.
Kaitlyn described GUSH as “an invitation to experience the genius of everything. Every object, every moment, every sensation offers an opportunity for awe, discovery, deeper understanding.” It’s in that spirit that her remix project takes shape. In addition to the contributions from Goddard, renowned electronic-R&B artist MAFRO, and New Zealand’s GRAMMY-winning experimental-pop artist Kimbra, lend their talents (“Gush” Remixed).
After a busy 2025 touring and performing alongside artists such as Glass Beams, RY X, and Hot Chip, while also appearing at festivals including Pitchfork Fest London, MIRA in Barcelona, Linecheck in Milan, Kaitlyn is excited to perform new headline tour dates this spring, starting with Elsewhere in Brooklyn on April 3rd and London at the Barbican Theatre on May 23rd.
