Sarah McLeod & Dallas Frasca – ‘Til It’s Gone

SARAH McLEOD and DALLAS FRASCA2

Just ahead of their extensive GREEN ELECTRIC TOUR which kicks off in a few weeks, 2 of Australia’s most accomplished voices in rock, Dallas Frasca & Sarah McLeod have joined forces on ‘Til It’s Gone’ – out today via Spank Betty Records & Community Records.

Produced by Frasca, along with mixing from Andy Baldwin (Björk, Car Seat Headrest, The Cat Empire) and mastering from Lachlan Carrick,‘Til It’s Gone’ is a perfect balance of both iconic voices – showcasing their powerful range as they wail over the top of a bluesy, classic rock backing.

The single comes at a great time, as the two prepare to hit the road on a 15-date-tour across the country.   The Green Electric Tour sees the pair taking on an important mission – looking to reduce their emissions and use strategies to bring down their environmental footprint throughout the tour, as well as support some very worthy causes. Lyrically, the single reinforces exactly what the pair are fighting for, looking for action on the environment before it’s too late.

“The song was inspired by a line in Big Yellow Taxi, written more than half a century ago, and it’s confronting how little has changed. We’re still prioritising profit over care for country, and the climate is pushing back hard. Til It’s Gone speaks to the moment we’re in right now, a crossroads,  and the responsibility we all share to make better choices before the damage becomes irreversible.” DALLAS FRASCA & SARAH MCLEOD

Recorded across three Victorian home studios, including Dallas’, Sarah’s, and drummer Josh Barber’s Church Studio in Mollongghip, the track embraces a deliberately DIY, low-impact approach, proving powerful work doesn’t require bloated systems.

Released alongside the single today is a music video for ‘Til It’s Gone’, directed by Scott Major.

“Visually we wanted to place the song in a future that feels uncomfortably close with black markings worn as sun protection and as armour. A dystopian future that no longer feels that far off.” SARAH McLEOD
