Blackwater Holylight – Bodies
Blackwater Holylight have established a mammoth presence in Los Angeles, after cutting their teeth in Portland, Oregon. On January 30, 2026, the celestial hard rockers will release the full-length Not Here Not Gone via Suicide Squeeze Records.
Even in thunderous moments, like the psychedelic third single “Bodies,” the band sculpt thunder and grime into something transcendental. Pondering physicality and self-acceptance, it is introspective and visceral.
On the track, guitarist and bassist Sunny Faris shares: “This song is about the experience of being in a human body, self acceptance, and how our bodies are simply a suit for our souls. It is a reminder that our bodies are uniquely ours, that they are temporary homes for something infinite and that we all make a home for ourselves as every day passes.”
