Michelle Núñez strips away the filter in her powerful new single “i’m fine, i’m okay,” an anthem for the brave face we wear while quietly falling apart.

The song spotlights the contrast between showing up in the world and silently trying to hold yourself together, capturing the most honest lie we tell: “I’m fine.”

“i’m fine, i’m okay” is Michelle Núñez’s third single in her music career debut. Produced by Yoosuf Blake, with additional instrumentation from Tom Goss, and help from mixing engineer Elijah Hutchinson. This track dives deep into the duality of showing up in the world while silently fighting to stay afloat. “It’s an anthem for those navigating the daily battles of being human, moving forward one step at a time, putting a smile on their face, all while their well-being is weighed down by grief, expectations, or life’s relentless exhaustion,” says Núñez. “It says: I’m not always okay. But I’m trying. And maybe that’s enough.” The single is like a journal entry with a chorus that swells like hope. The track utilizes the melodic beats of the backdrop alongside her soft, yet striking vocals to convey a sense of resilience from the pain the world has brought onto her. Paired with the song is a behind-the-scenes video with cinematography by Mack Fisher, showing the creative process with Núñez and giving the audience an authentic look into her artistry.
