Alana Hil – Say It

Soul-stirring vocalist Alana Hil returns with her emotive new single “Say It,” the latest off her forthcoming EP Diaries of a Common Woman, arriving November 7.
Layered with Hil’s powerful vocals, “Say It” is a bold yet vulnerable exploration of communication and honesty in relationships, capturing the moments where words carry the power to either deepen connection or fracture it. With its raw delivery and hypnotic groove, the track offers a glimpse into the unflinching emotional terrain that defines her upcoming body of work.
The release follows the buzz of her recent singles “Love and Mental Breakdowns” and “Heartbleed Over Coffee,” which introduced fans to the raw storytelling, striking visuals, and fearless honesty that define her artistry.
This summer, Hil also joined the legendary Macy Gray on select tour dates, further solidifying her presence as an artist on the rise.
The recently released tracks will appear on her forthcoming EP, Diaries of a Common Woman, a deeply personal collection that takes listeners through themes of identity, mental health, and resilience. Blending global influences into a sound that moves fluidly between soul, R&B, blues, and beyond, the project marks Hil’s most ambitious and revealing work yet, cementing her place as one of the most compelling new voices to watch.
Speaking about the forthcoming project, Alana shares: “‘Diaries of a Common Woman’ navigates my experiences with the extremes of mania, numbness, and depression. Having been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, I use my art to reflect the complexities of trauma and the stigma surrounding mental health, translating deeply personal experiences into sonic and visual form.”
