Haven Madison – Shapeshifter

Today, alt-pop powerhouse Haven Madison releases her newest single “Shapeshifter” and an accompanying music video directed by the prolific director Roman White, in addition to announcing her debut EP Roses which will release on October 17th 2025 (BMG/19).
“Shapeshifter”, now available on all streaming platforms via BMG/19, came from a gut-punch moment in Haven’s life that she realized countless individuals can relate to: seeing an ex partner with someone new and realizing they had morphed into a different version of themselves… which leaves you questioning if the person you knew was ever real.
“I swear that you died / But you’re living proof,” Haven sings on the chorus, “I swear our goodbye / Turned the last of you / Into somebody new.”
“Don’t think I’d recognize you if I walked in / You don’t even look the same,” she continues to confess, “Would’ve stopped me dead in my tracks / If I heard you utter my name.”
Directed by Roman White (Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Brandi Carlile) the music video portrays Haven as confined to a clear box, symbolizing her resistance to changing her identity while confronting the emotional aftermath of watching her ex fall for someone completely different. The box serves as a metaphor for her steadfast sense of self amid feelings of betrayal and disillusionment — the realization that she may have never truly known the person she loved. Throughout the video, Haven experiments with shapeshifting elements, including changes in makeup, hairstyle, and piercings, reflecting her internal struggle and search for understanding while time passes by. As the video progresses, a rapid sequence of shifting scenes and locations unfolds around her, while she remains still and observant — underscoring the disorienting sense that everything around her has changed, even as she remains grounded in her own truth.
“Shapeshifter” is the fourth single release before her debut EP Roses comes out next month, completing a run offour unflinchingly honest and deeply personal tracks that are just a taste of what “Roses” will have to offer. With “Shapeshifter”, “Anybody”, “Why Do the Pills Work”, and “Castle”, which was the #2 most added track to Top 40 Pop Radio during its first week at radio and broke through the Top 20 just a few weeks ago, Haven proves that she is a force to be reckoned with.
This Fall, Haven will tour North America with Stacey Ryan, kicking off on September 20th in San Francisco, California and wrapping up on October 30th in West Hollywood, California – including stops in Nashville, Washington DC, Toronto, Dallas and Phoenix.
