Catie Turner – Tourist Attraction

Acclaimed folk-pop singer-songwriter Catie Turner returns today with her latest single, “Tourist Attraction.”
A witty, sharply-observed anthem, the track takes aim at the empty promises of hype culture. With her signature blend of humor, honesty, and soaring vocals, Turner turns the glitter of can’t miss experiences into something far more bittersweet.
The incredibly catchy “Tourist Attraction” leans into satire while still landing in pure emotional truth. “Sometimes the bang isn’t worth the buck,” she sings, framing the song as both a literal and metaphorical reflection: the letdowns of crowded landmarks, and the bigger disappointments that come with believing things (or people) will be more magical than they are.
“’Tourist Attraction’ came to be when I went into the studio ranting, ‘you know when people tell you that you have to try this one thing in a new city, and when you do – it was lackluster at best?’ it grew from there, and suddenly it wasn’t about waiting for 90 minutes in a crowded bake shop for overpriced stale cake, but about feeling scorned & disappointed by a situationship that was not worth the hype,” Turner shares. “It’s about looking at the photos from that that time in your life and thinking to yourself, ‘I couldn’t make it out of bed in the morning because of THIS?’ and seeing them for exactly who they are: a tourist trap!”
The single follows Turner’s recent release “Not Young, Just Dumb, and continues her prolific 2025 streak of confessional yet universally resonant tracks. Each new song cements her standing as one of today’s most distinctive voices, balancing biting wit with deep vulnerability. Fans can hear “Tourist Attraction” and more live this fall on her “Catie Turner Stuns on Tour” dates, kicking off October 17 in Brooklyn, NY.
