Singer-songwriter Alexis Plaen has announced her upcoming album, Enjoy the Void, due out on October 10th.

Chronicling Alexis’s confrontation with existential uncertainty, the album tells the epic narrative of her search for meaning, tracing a transformative journey inward. In the face of chaos, Alexis morphs between pop, rock, electronic, and cinematic influences as her powerful vocals deliver stories and struggles from the depths of the void.

Speaking on the album, Alexis comments: “I think of the void as that mental space you go to when you’re pursuing answers to existential questions.” For Alexis, Enjoy the Void is more than a means of grappling with life’s greatest questions; it’s a path to self-resolution.

Alongside the announcement, Alexis has released the fourth single from the album, “Temporary Creatures.”

A catchy fusion of electronic and punk, the track captures the spirit of the project through its bold rejection of permanence and its embrace of self-destruction in the face of mortality.

Alexis Plaen is a Chicago-based alt pop singer-songwriter set to make her mark with her genre-defying electronic pop rock sound, introspective lyrics, and multi-media artistry. She channels her unique life experiences into her music, incorporating bold messages that leave a lasting impression on listeners.

Alexis’ lyrics explore themes of existentialism in a capitalist society. Her debut releases are deeply influenced by her experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and a personal tragedy in 2023 when her apartment burned down while she was recording at the studio.

Although Alexis lost everything she owned to the fire, her resilience and creativity have been unwavering.
