Featuring Katy Ohsiek (of Portland’s foamboy) KATNS formal debut brings vulnerable, biting lyricism interweaved with uniquely melodic, song structures that borrow from bossa nova, aughts indie rock and modern Americana.

Anchored by Katy’s lilting vocal, new single, “I Wish I Had Met You In The Summer” is a longing, upbeat reflection on a romance that may have had a chance in the sun,  asking; “what if we had gone to swimming holes in the woods or walked through town gathering sweat between our hands?” versus the actuality of a cold winter attempt; “Granite skin and too many coats” and “an awkward Christmas gift, you spent too much money on”

Recorded last summer at Yu Kiatvongcharoen’s Portland home studio the track serves as a starter with a full album to follow this Fall. Winter’s stunted romance bears summer’s lemonade, “I Wish I Had Met You In The Summer” is streaming everywhere now.
