Manpreet Kundi – unresolved (deluxe)

Manpreet Kundi

Making a comeback with her first new music since 2024’s unresolved EP, Manpreet Kundi looks to strike a resonant chord with a new deluxe version, featuring three additional recordings. Leading them is her new song ‘closure’, the wistful last chapter of the story.

Picking up where she left off, unresolved (deluxe) carries that same emotional vibrance, now laced with a quiet charm, as Kundi unveils three new recordings. The first of the additions is ‘closure’, a track that reflects on the end of a relationship in the form of a final, unspoken dance together, when there’s nothing left to say. Self-written like the rest, this piano-led song brings the EP to a gentle close.

Also included are stripped-back takes on earlier singles, with a live recording of the title track ‘unresolved’ and an acoustic version of ‘something’, revealing both tracks in their most raw and vulnerable forms.

Speaking about the new release, Kundi explains, “The new song was inspired by a Friends episode, the one where Monica and Richard break up whilst slow dancing at a wedding. Monica asks “so what now?” and Richard replies with “I guess we just keep dancing”. I imagined how a final, unspoken dance together could serve as closure, since I was still searching for my own.”

A distinctive blend of singer-songwriter, pop, and indie, Manpreet’s unique sound has been described as dreamy and cinematic. Her music, crafted at her piano from her romantic experiences, emphasises acoustic roots layered with gorgeous production. Turning the heads of the industry, Kundi has won support from Wonderland and EARMILK. Following the success of her EP release and launch show at the Lower Third in London, Manpreet was interviewed by BBC Radio Berkshire and performed live on the show. In anticipation of her new release, she unveiled ‘closure’ live for fans on July 10th at 93 Feet East in London. Manpreet’s heady style is reflective of Lana Del Rey, with other notable influences being Lizzy McAlpine and Lennon Stella. Following the release of her acclaimed debut ‘unresolved’ in 2024, she looks to continue her cinematic pop venture with new music on the horizon.
