QWAM – Something Bad

Brooklyn-based punk band QWAM are back with their most visceral, unflinching work to date. Their upcoming album, Girls Aren’t Afraid of Blood (out this Friday, August 1, 2025), finds frontwoman Felicia Lobo confronting body dysmorphia, the brutal pace of NYC, and the looming fear of aging out of her dreams, through the lens of blood-soaked horror and gut-punch punk songs.

Today, the band share video for new song, “Something Bad” which Lobo says,  – I’ve spent a lot of my life trying to investigate what my body means and what I think about it. For me, this song is sort of the thesis of the album. I’ve always struggled with the balance of chaos and control in regards to my own self-worth and a lot of it has always come down to how I feel about my body. This song is about being sick of not feeling good enough, fighting my own self-sabotage, and screaming into the void for all the girls who feel the same way.
