Acclaimed folk-pop storyteller Catie Turner returns today with her latest single, “Not Young, Just Dumb” – a sharply introspective release that trades youthful abandon for brutal clarity.

“I wrote ‘Not Young, Just Dumb’ after taking an edible and feeling the dreaded anxiety that I used to tease friends about,” says Turner. “In that moment I realized I have two choices, and I hated both of them: stop and accept the consequences, or continue getting stoned with none of the cute naivety of yesteryear and everyone definitely judging you. Also, this is a song about realizing that 2015 was ten years ago and you have to catch up or you will be trampled by nostalgia for the rest of your life. Tumblr isn’t coming back – but I’ll keep praying it does.”

“Not Young, Just Dumb” follows June’s vulnerable single “I Might” and continues Turner’s 2025 run of releases, which have solidified her reputation as one of music’s most relatable and reflective voices.
