Disiniblud – Disiniblud

Disiniblud, the new collaboration between the composers and multi-instrumentalists Rachika Nayar and Nina Keith, release their self-titled debut album on via Domino’s Smugglers Way.

They have already released a video for the title track, “Disiniblud.”
The “Disiniblud” music video, directed by Chris Osborn (Mitski, Beach House), and shot on film by Ava Benjamin Shorr in the hills of Malibu, originates from a vision Nina had of a group of naked trans people running through an idyllic forest with chaotic joy and loving energy inspired by and directly referencing the iconic Sigur Ros video for “Gobbledigook.”
Describing the video, Osborn shares: “We shot this video with an all-trans cast, and mostly trans crew, in Los Angeles County on June 10, 2025 (under the Strawberry Full Moon in Sagittarius.) I wanted to preserve the light as it hit our bodies, hit our eyes, hit this film, under these particular conditions. To prove that we were here, that we have been here, and we will always be here, forever. Within the charged atmosphere surrounding us, my primary ambition was to make something beautiful and free. I hope I achieved that goal.”
The video stands as a powerful and artful celebration of the trans community and a visual representation of the range and depths of emotions explored on the “Disiniblud” single and album.
To help contextualize the single/video, album, and broader project, Rachika points to an excerpt from Larry Mitchell’s 1977 queer manifesto The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions. A work both artists hold dear, the text frames the project within a queer, utopian worldview and offers a lens into Disiniblud’s embrace of fantasy as a mode of liberation.
“Disiniblud” follows the previously released tracks, “Give-upping” (ft. Julianna Barwick), “It’s Change” (ft. Willy Siegel, Katie Dey & Julianna Barwick), and “Blue Rags, Raging Wind” (ft. Amigone). Disiniblud, which features further guest appearances from Cassandra Croft, June McDoom, ASPIDISTRAFLY, and Tujiko Noriko, is available for pre-order on limited edition carnelian orange color vinyl, standard CD, and cassette with bonus remixes.
To celebrate the forthcoming release, Disiniblud will embark on North American and European tours this fall, including headlining dates in Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, Paris, and Berlin, as well as festival appearances at Philadelphia’s Making Time and Pitchfork London.
