she’s green – Chrysalis

Minneapolis band she’s green are excited to announce their first project in over 2 years, Chrysalis, a new EP available everywhere August 15, 2025 via Photo Finish Records.

“Willow” offers a glimpse into the band’s soundscape of fluttering dreams, exploring their decaying perspective on nature, accompanied by a stunning music video.
“‘Willow’ reflects on our dying relationship with the natural world—a relationship that’s not always loving, but formative nonetheless,” she’s green explains. “It’s an energetic song that we love playing live.”
The official music video for “Willow” portrays bandleader Zofia Smith wandering through the forest, looking towards the light shining through an array of trees. The sunlight shining on her face and figure as she wanders complements the longing and sadness in her voice, while simultaneously highlighting the hope she has for the future. As the video comes to an end, our view becomes increasingly blurry as Smith sings about her uncertainty and the melancholy the song holds.
“Willow” follows the release of recent singles “Figurines” and “Graze,” the band’s first offerings since their 2023 debut EP, Wisteria, which received recognition from all corners of the internet, especially on Reddit. Songs like “Mandy” and “Syndulla” quickly became fan favorites for their otherworldly sound, thoughtful production and emotionally intense lyrics.
she’s green show no signs of slowing down. The band has had a jam-packed 2025; after opening for Frank Black at The Current’s 20th-anniversary show earlier this year, they joined Phoenix shoegaze band Glixen and NYC scene favorite Suzy Clue on the road. Playing across the country and making first-time appearances at San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival and Seattle’s Freakout Weekender, a tour supporting Softcult followed. This fall, they’ll support heavy hitters Slow Pulp, Blondshell and Softcult across the U.S. and UK.
