Diving into her latest single, Ellisar shares, “This track started with the want to use a Latin drum pattern; something about its energy felt fresh and full of potential. From there, my friend and producer L.ucas and I locked into a creative rhythm, trading ideas without overthinking the direction. As the production evolved, we began visualising a very specific mood: the tension of a breakup unfolding in a luxurious setting, maybe a summer gala or a formal dinner in an old country house. That image shaped the emotional core of the song.”
She continues, “Outside is a track built on instinct, imagination, and the push-pull of beauty and heartbreak. Every layer, from the drums, melody, and lyrics, aims to capture that kind of quiet intensity you feel when something important is slipping away, even in the most beautiful of places.”
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Ellisar is a songwriter-producer with a penchant for pushing boundaries. Ignited by a passion for music at a young age, she grew up surrounded by music. Having taken up the piano at four years old, she began to dive headfirst into production, leading a sound that feels just as sleek as it does authentic. Since releasing her debut single ‘since it wasn’t enough’ in 2021, she has moved from strength to strength, jumping from rhythm to rhythm, with hooks that stick around long after the song is over.
