Joseph – I Believe In Myself

Today, JOSEPH shares their new single “I Believe In Myself,” a collaboration with Nashville-based singer/songwriter Becca Mancari.
A triumphant and cathartic anthem, the song explores what it means to rebuild self-trust after a lifetime of being taught to doubt your own voice — culminating in an epic, mantra-like chorus that celebrates the quiet power of self-belief.
Natalie Closner shares, “We grew up in a fundamentalist religious environment where we were told that you can’t trust yourself; you can only trust God and your pastors. When you’re raised that way, you get to adulthood and realize you’re completely cut off from your intuition. ‘I Believe In Myself’ is about constructing your own inner voice, and learning how to listen to it for the first time in your life.”
“I Believe In Myself” follows the recent announcement of JOSEPH signing to Nettwerk Music Group and sharing their first single, “Bye and Bye,” which offers an intimate look at the often-insurmountable gulf between expectation and reality, delivered through Joseph’s signature soaring harmonies and soul-baring lyrics. These two songs, co-produced by the duo and Luke Niccoli (Carly Rae Jepsen, Miya Folick, Kid Bloom, Towa Bird), will be featured on JOSEPH’s upcoming album (details forthcoming), their first full-length work as a duo since their sister Allie Closner stepped away from the band.
